The Dodecanese islands are located east of the Cyclades, east of Asia Minor and north east of Crete. An enchanted world where the sun paints pictures and the sea gives life. Its mild winters and refreshing summers give the Dodecanese one of the healthiest climates in the Mediterranean.

The Dodecanese are the farthest island group from the mainland of Greece, situated along the coast of western Turkey. The Dodecanese consists of twelve major islands as well as many smaller, generally uninhabited islands and islets. The most significant of the group are: Rhodes, Kos, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Patmos, Simi, Leros, Astipalea, Nissiros, Kassos, Halki and Tilos.

These islands have a wealth of information about Greece and its past. The monuments, the churches, the ancient ruins, the temples and the medieval fortresses... all echoes of a very tumultuous past.
